How to remove the pull start?

I have a HSP 1/5 truck that looks similar to the rampage and can the pull start be removed from the engine without removing the engine as i have removed the 4 bolts for the pull start but the chassis stops it from coming off.

I bought this used 2 weeks ago and then i checked it over and this is it's first start and the engine seems ok but then the pull start gave out on the next start attempt.
