Nobody knows for sure, but I'd say between 3 and 4 HP.
I'd agree with that number if it has a good pipe. I would guess under 3 with stock exhaust. Some of the ported motors are only rated at 3.5 hp.

from my experiences with the 26cc motors they tend to be between 3.1 and 3.25hp stock....the 30's put out a bit more hp around 3.5 but have more torque.....add a good pipe and ur adding about another hp,more if u have good porting and such

I had a race ported 30.5 OBR 2 bolt and Sean said the produced around 3.5HP "give or take a 1/4 horse depending on how tuned, pipe, ect"Bone stock I woukd guess 2.5HP But I have no clue....
3.5 hp out of a race tuned 30.5 obr? sounds like a pretty weak port job if thats all its running...i have yet to be able to dyno my stock motor yet but ive had 26's b4 that were all runnin at least 3hp

I would assume that the CY and HY would be a little weaker then a equal size Zen.

If you can get 3HP with a good tuned pipe you will be doing good on a 26cc. On CY web site they list it at 2.6. OBR said the stock engines they have dyno are 2.5 to 3hp at best.

On Zenoah web site they list the power out put in Kilowatts. If you convert it comes out to 2.44 HP on the the G260RC 26cc.

And that's for a Zen. I believe the CY & HY would be a little lower. :(

46u,

What was the kw rating on that 26 zen? In my HY manual it says the 30.5 has 1.1 kw @ 12,000 rpm. If I plug that number into my metric to imperial converter, 1.1 kw converts to 1.475 hp. This seems to low. So I was wondering what the zen kw rating you found was. And how you converted it. I used a app on my phone.

The manual states for the 26 HY .85 kw @ 12000 rpm. By my app converts to 1.14 hp.

I would agree. I would assume, since HY is just remanufacturing an existing design, they would have no reason to do any design testing. Just some random quality control. Who knows where the got the numbers.

That engine is all most 2.7HP. The Zen 26 is 1.82 kilowatts. 1 kilowatts is 1.3410 HP. More then likely the manufacturers are estimating the HP by mathematics.

All I can go by is what the manufactures say and what dyno resolute I have seen. A good running stock 26 with a good pipe you MIGHT get 3hp on a perfect day. Things even very from engine to engine even when they are identical brand and model.
