i have just put a new servo horn on and the adjuster on the back is not slipping and seems to pull the brake on with loads of force it just seems like the pads are not gripping i think it may be a case of new pads and disc

Hi guys i have a baja ss and am having a real problem with the brakes they just don't seem to work very well i have a good throttle brake servo it a spektrun z590 any advice on what to do ????

the 590 isnt good enough for a throttle brake servo i'm afraid. get yourself a hitec 7955tg, also are you still using the stock rear brake parts? i would suggest going with the tr 1 piece brake plate at a bare minimum and then adjusting the brakes where they grab then backing it off slightly, in this way your brakes wont grab at idle but when you apply them during running it will enduce ear grinning slides :D

fg is right though don't use ca or contact cement to hold them and then when needed you can revers the pads for like new brake action, and another thign you could do is scuff them with some sandpaper which will renew the surface adn remove any glazing ;)
