Trying to get into the world of 1/5ths as economically as I can, so I'd like to take someone's King motor or HPI baja of their hands. Looking for either a complete one of one with everything except motor. let me know!

I'm guessing shipping is going to run an arm and a leg but any idea about how much it would cost? If you'd like to get an actual quote the zip is 41514.

the HK is junk and you also need to buy reciever controller and servos for it

Can we keep things civil please? I had found that HK before but decided the value wasn't there once you consider the shipping cost (like $70), cost of electrics, and if I get an rtr or artr I'd at least want the 30.5cc.. But I'd really like a complete one sans the motor for around $300 so I have an excuse to put a Zenoah G29 in it :D.

@CD, I might could do $415 shipped if it's looks like it's good shape so post the pictures up if you want. How many gallons are on it and have you done any upgrades?

think im just gonna keep it for now. (wouldnt wanna sell ya a piece of junk) since HK is way better

..I've done my research and know what I want. KM seems as legit as a knock-off can be so that's what I'd like to go with if I can't get a HPI for what I'm willing to spend.

Thanks for the offer though, I guess.

as long as your sure thats what you want I will do it just let me know if you cant find a hpi. Just don't wanna sell it to you and then a week later get oh its a piece of poop clone.

Well has it given you much more trouble than your hpis?

About the only things I've managed to find from actual owners (not just people saying it's a clone it must suckkk!) is the pull start giving out and the plastic being a bit brittle, both of which are an easy to fix, and if the thing turned out to be junk I would accept responsibility unless something was defective when I got it that I wasn't told about.

honestly I have had less issues with the km than my hpi's. The only think I see about them weaker than hpi is in the cold the plastic is more brittle and the metal used for the plates and everything are a lil thinner so will bend a lil easier than hpi but I haven't had any issues. It has a 29cc engine on it and the pullstart has already been replaced on it so no problems there.

hm could you post some pictures of it for me? Have you done any other mods to it aside from the pull start?

not really, it has the ss pipe, homemade rollcage quick disconnects, windows, other than that its pretty much stock. And the extra dirt is free.

Just a heads up on the two available from Hobby King jekyll818...I ordered the cheaper model (without tuned pipe) and it ended up being a problem for some reason and the order (even though it is listed as in the US warehouse) ended up going to the honk kong warehouse and the order had to be cancelled, money was credited to my account. So I had to order the more expensive version, which is best, but shipped was $79 UPS.

Just a little info to help you out if you go that route, go for the one with tuned pipe so you don't chance a hassle. . .I was only able to use all but $40 of the credited money too on that order, had to use paypal to pay the shipping, was goofy.
