In case others have an issue when changing their throttle/brake servo. The fail safe can be programmed, this is what caused my throttle run away. Just follow the instructions:

Fail Safe Break Setup:

Connect the fail-safe unit to throttle/brake servo and receiver

Be sure to observe the polarity of the wire leads.

Apply full brakes on transmitter and press the set key for two seconds until you see the flashing red light pause.

Check the function prior to actual operation by turning on the transmitter and moving throttle stick up and/or to brakes position.

To test, turn the transmitter off to insure fail safe has applied brakes.

I noticed that several other drivers who have photos of their vehicles have the linkages crossed between the throttle and brake. I can't imagine why they would cross the linkages otherwise!

Yeah this is the first vehicle I have had with a fail safe and I did not program it right. needless to say mine went for a swim last night and cooked a steering servo. Ordered the 3rd channel kill/failsafe to remedy this.
