I need a new servo and just wanted to get feedback on anyone who has used or currently using the Hitec HS-5805MG servo. I will be using it on my FG Monster Sportsline 4WD; my RTR steering servo malfunctioned after the first run, anyways it had to be changed anyway I know that the Rhino and the 5755MG are the most popular but I found the 5805MG for a good price $60 and the specs are pretty similar to the 5755 and the other plus is that its a direct fit and wont have to spend extra to change the RC plate, but please give feedback only if you had experiences with this servo since I already know that the 5755MG is good.

I use it on my 5b, but mine was failed before that didnt move at all after run. Then I called my LHS and I told them if my servo failed then they let me sent the servo and they replace with a new one:cup-1:
I'm still using it right now.

Is this a new car we are talking about and what was your stock servo? FG usually provide Hitec servos with a 645 throttle / brake and a 805 for steering. the 5805MG is a digital version of the 805BB so will do just fine

Yes its a new car; it has only been run once and went through the engine breaking process, my RTR steering servo failed right after the first run so I wanna change it; thought to get some feedback for the HS-5805 the price is good and I don't have to change the RC Plate.

2 things to check......
1. Is it still under warranty?
2. Plug the throttle servo into the steering servo channel to eliminate a faulty receiver.

What servo is it BTW? RTR radio gear is never the best so would be worth while upgrading to a better set anyway.

Yeah I did that; the servo has a problem it would turn only in one direction and it would get stuck, its a hitec 805 I think but I would have to confirm. And yes its still under warranty, but I want to install a better one anyways. So thought I would give the 5805mg a chance and try it.

hay i have one for sale!! pm me if your interested i put it on ebay the other week but nobody bid on it even! so ya i still have it

hay i've not really thought about it to be honest, i'm in the uk so would have to factor in the cost to you for shipping and how much it retails for new over in the US. ill have a look or give me an idea of what you think. it is a great servo only stopped using it because it doesn't fit my new servo tray.

I have an address in the UK actually, so shipping wont be a problem but I don't know how much you want it for if its a good deal I will consider. By the way what car do you have? Do you have an FG or a HPI?

hay matey i have an fg sportsline which i have upgraded to pretty much evo spec, full alloy n everything full digital servos, carbon fibre :) I also have a contrast neox which is my newest edition. I'm also looking to add an F1 to my collection soon also.

i've had a look on google and these are going between £50 and £55 pounds with shipping ill have a look around see what else i get. because obviously want to make it worth your while or you may as well buy a new one. if you used pay pal id kindly ask you to pay the fees because would eat into it a bit, the money will go straight into buying a superbee for my neox.

if i said £30 and £5.50p for postage i always sent things special recorded delivery so thats why its a bit higher, then its insured and tracked. feel free to pm me. oh and i also have an analogue one the 805mg think it is
cheers matey :)
