i have just installed a new set of fg hydros to the front of my baja 4wd. however they don't do much???????? WTF
i have brake fluid in both tubes fine with no bubbles but it seems the main cylinder? has to travel a long way for anything to happen, and even fully pulled out i can spin the wheels still

help!!!!!!!!! again
 
no 2 tubes only, no y piece. let me take some pics! if i pull the cylinder part right out they lock tight but thats a lot of travel i would have thought that could be adjusted!!??

Just a question: I have been racing 1/8 scale buggies for many years and never have I seen discbrakes on the wheels but on the center diff unit and you know why? Because there gets no dirt which affects or demolish the brakes system! These discbrakes are made for onroad-cars not buggies. If you want a better brake get a steel vented brakedisc with a good pair of brakepads. The mechanical brake works if set it up right.
I also have raced downhill mountainbikes with MAGURA diskbrakes on the wheels. We had to repair or maintain them because of the dirt in the brakecalipers!

if they're squidgey rebleed the calipers...i found in my KPD's a little air bubble in them will give a long throw...I'd bleed them then tap the caliper with a screwdriver handle to get any bubbles moving to the top and out the bleeder...i could lock all fours solid with no problems on my fgbaja, also I'd clean the disc with laquer thinners to get and fliud or residue off and rough up the pad a little
 
I know this sounds silly, but did you try to roll it and tap the brakes? The reason i am asking is because mine brake fine when the car is on the ground, but when i have it in the bench and push the brakes cylinder in, i can still turn the wheel, not free spinning but they turn a little.
