Mineral Oil for brakes at the best price.

FYI for those that want mineral oil for their brakes. Its normally used in top end Mountain bike brakes (hydraulic brakes such as shimano, avid, etc.) Just don't go to the bike shop its outrageously overpriced. If you are looking for mineral oil that is cheap (not cheap quality, just cheap in price) go to a drug store such as CVS or Walgreens, (if you are overseas ask the pharmacy or your local drug store) they sell mineral oil in larger quantities at a decent price. I saw it their by chance, and first purchased some to flush my system on the FG, yet now run it with no problem.

I hope some of this helps,

By the way the ATF Fluid can also be used as after-run oil in your motor (a few drops in you spark plug hole) to help with long term storage or coat the cylinder walls and prevent gunk build-up.

Very true.....the brakes are designed to run with mineral oil only.....the DOT4 fluid will swell the rubbers......and yes....ATF is a very close match and doesn't have to many side effects on you or your model.

The green fluid that is supplied for the hydraulic brakes is same as Comma LHM plus mineral hydraulic oil. £5.79 1 litre at Wilco Motosave in uk

"Mineral based fluid for hydraulic systems.Suitable for certain Citroen, Peugeot and Rolls Royce & Bentley models (where components are coloured green)".

If it' sGood enough for Rolls Royce!!!
