Because I can. Always thought they were neat. But never had the oporatunity to buy one.

Have you checked out Zielke's 5B conversion? Yeah, expect to pay around $1200 for a 5T. I was looking into them after watching their vids, but I think it was more driver than truck.

if you buy new, change the throttle servo, steering servo is ok. All else isn't too bad. if you go big on jumping, upgrade shock shafts, and rpm arms. Stock radio is iffy as to being a good one or a bad one.

I would rather buy as a roller, I am using a DX3R stock radio and servo's are going on the shelf. Sounds good, I will upgrade as I go.
 
Its a killer truck. I converted mine to all 5t specs includeing tranny -except shocks. Its fun but don't use desperados on the, it will spin in cirlces. Lots of fun. The throttle servo may catch on fire and smoke up on you - but your not going to use one. also check the diff oil, may not have enough if any. Other then that - haul mail!! ;) Get a good pipe too.

I have a GBE Hornet in mind for it. THanks for all the posatives about the model.
 
im loving my ss, i can see it wearing a 5b body in the future. i love the way it jumps, and the speed is awsome! its like a great big rc10!best of all they don't break near as often!
