I was raised to follow the rules wherever I happened to be at. As an adult, if I don't like something, I go somewhere else, but I really try to respect someone else's rules.
HBF is about the HPI Baja. HPI sponsors lots of races. HPI works with some of the aftermarket vendors. When KM starts to do this type of support of the hobby, great. But until then, the rules are the rules.
The growth and the popularity of HBF has done a lot for the large scale hobby. Love'em or hate'em, without them, I guarantee the Baja aftermarket support today would be a joke (mostly Integy probably :crying

. A lot of those small shop guys are now distributing through Tower Hobbies. That's pretty darn good.
I also have no doubt though out of all of the members on that forum, there are lots that have a clone. They don't mention it, they get along fine, and no one is the wiser. It keeps discussions from becoming heated, so why try and stir crap up? Enjoy what you have and quit worrying. If anyone was around me that bashed, I could care less if they had a Raco Jackrabbit so I doubt anyone in your area would care. If they did care that much, what's the point of hanging out with them? I'm partial to Honda's, but I don't dislike my friends or others that drive GM's or Chryslers.
I get tired of the whining about HBF. I like the forum. It's the best source for anything Baja related period. I can get an answer to a question in 10 minutes if I post something. LSF is great for all brands/types of large scale vehicles, RRF is great for all Rampages and RCU is jackass central.
