My rampage tt5 needs to go faster. have a 23cc and x-can. I want to go faster for $200 what do I get a better engine, better pipe, or some combo? there seems to be so many choices so I can't decide.

i'd go with a pipe first, then a motor. the 30.5 is probably a bit too much depending on your track. i'm running an onb g270 raceport and often overpower the track.

You will be amazed what a good tuned pipe will do; it will really wake up a motor. A race ported 30.5 will give you tons of power but without a tuned pipe it will never reach its full potential. So I would say get the pipe first then the head kit, of course we both know you are probably going to get the pipe and the head kit at the same time. :D

Put the stock muffler back on and put the money back in your pocket . Then you just saved yourself 200 and went faster.

All kidding aside x cans produce very little extra power. Port on the stock 23 with your dremel and get a good pipe on that thing and it will run fine on a track.

I hear u on the x-can. It didn't seem to make much difference. Think I'll pass on the port thingy because I have no idea what u are talking about lol. Think I'll go for the displacement first. I was experimenting tonight with a case? and trying to break it apart but I can't figure out how to remove the thing that the clutches go on. I removed the screw that holds it but it won't cone off the shaft. is there a tool for that? I'm thinking I need to chuck the xcan and buy a pipe too

You can use one of the three large bolts that connect the engine to the main gearplate to remove the clutch carrier. Screw one into the clutch carrier untill it hits the inside of the clutch case. A few more turns after that it will push it off the crankshaft with a nice pop.

People have had some success with the stock 5T/5B 2.0 can, you can get those for $30 on ebay, the get the ONB 30.5 (I have an ESP 30.5).

X-can is not a good performer, try and sell it, use the 5t can in the meantime and wait for DDM to put a side dom on Ebay, you can get them for under $100 when DDM does this or keep an eye out here people will sometimes sell aftermarket pipes.

Ok great. thanks for the posts. I'll use the screws to get the clutch carrier off and I'll look for a 5t can in addition to the ONB 30.5.
