Is there any such thing as a high air flow flywheel that I can bolt onto my OBR Zenoah engine? You know like a specially made flywheel with more fins resulting in more air flow? LOL!!! Sorry... stupid question.... I'm one those guys who like performance so thought I should ask :D

I don't know about flywheel but maybe opening some vents will help
Yea... but I'm thinking about a flywheel that has more fins.... resulting in more airflow blowing into the engine :D Don't you think that would be cool?

litterally... ha ha ha
They can call it the twister 2012 featuring twice the fins of a regular flywheel of a stock Zenoah engine. With this.... more air is pushed into the engine quicker resulting in better cooling? :D LOL!!!

More fins adds weight and makes it slower reving up. I think using vents and scoops to help cool better for performance and can look cool too. =)
Yea... I think you are right.. but I like the idea of having more fins... maybe not twice as much but 75% more fins? LOL!

Do you have a problem with heat?

The unburnt fuel in a 2stroke helps cool it down. The leaner you run it the hotter it will run. I run mine when it is 110+ deg. out. Runs good never seems to get above 230. The same engine on alcohol will run about 150 deg.

I see what you mean Rcdad..... more air flow from the fan doesn't help :D If its going to burn... its going to burn.... so just make sure you don't run too lean :D right? Do you read your engine temp?

I do. Just because it's so hot here. desismileys_3487.gif

If my tune is good and it's too hot, I'll shut it down for a while.

Negative. The stock flywheel is just fine. More fins = more weight.

No need to check the engine temp. The spark plug tells you all you need to know. Some engines run hotter than others, so there's really no baseline temp to adhere to.

There are no stupid questions dude, just stupid posts by yours truely. i.e., Alfred! The only flywheel I have looked at that claims more airflow is @ the ddm site-- part # ee425. its a full ignition. looks good, it should for the price.

Oh my god 0_o the price is high.... I wonder does it really work? If I add a few more hundred dollar on top of that I could buy a 8hp motor or something :D
