I bought the chrome air filter from Python motorsports and it doesn't clear the roll cage or the throttle linkage. The linkage I can bend up a new one to fit. The cage however is a different story. Guess I could omit the cross bar on the cage but it would lose a lot of rigidity if I flip it. Are those aluminum cages you guys build hollow tubing or solid? Been thinking I can make my own at work. I like the one the gut made that bolts to the shock towers. Pretty tight! Plus it stiffens the frame up!
 
I had the same problem thats why i built my cage.And it is solid 3/8 aluminum.

RonE was the one with the cage. Looks like he has the same filter and outerwear too. In one of the pics the throttle and brake linkages are flipped. Brake to the inside throttle to the outside. Guess that works ok?
 
Yes, just cross the linkages to clear air filters. You can clear a HPI filter that way too
