i tune, runs good, won't keep settings

I keep setting my high low needles. It runs great for about a minute to 2 minutes and then seems i have to set them again or it bogs at high throttle. my gas tank is vented. i'm kind of at a loss.

You really need to run a Walbro carb to keep the tune.

I'd check for air leaks around the carb. I would also check to see if all your bolts are tight, then go down the list from there.

+100 On air leak. Are you making setting richer and richer (more fuel) or leaner?

How is the air filter? I was running a foam style with no issues, went to a K&N style and it would load up and stall. These engines are very touchy to air restriction causing pulsing and stall if everything is'nt right on. Is your filter on or off when diagnosing the issue??

Pull the delivery line to the carb and blow through it to see if your fuel filter is plugged up. If the filter is restricted it will die out at full throttle from fuel starvation
