I don't like how it is not regulated. It would ruin a lipo pack.

Now this is the kind of thing I LOVE to see! Why the heck not have an alternator on an rc car? Don't have to worry about charging receiver packs, or your battery dying in the middle of a tank of fuel.. just gas and go all day long!

Now if somebody would make a fuel injection system for rc engines (especially nitro) that would be AMAZING!!! Imagine never having to tune again.. I know, not a big deal on the 1/5 scales, but for a finicky nitro engine, an EFI system would bring a lot of people to the hobby that just don't want to, or don't know how, to tune a carb.

they did .. its called a conelly .. if thats how its spelled .. looks and sounds almost like a v8 .. i think only 1000 were ever made

It's possible with a regulator, but eventually you'll have to balance the pack. It's not like this is going to eliminate a traditional charger.

If it was regulated, it would be easy to just throw a cell checker on it to balance the cells.
