Not sure this is the right place to ask, but here it goes. After a hard day of running I brush and blow the dirt out of my 5T but how do I get my plastic pieces to look decent again? I've tried a damp rag to rub off that dirt look from the plastics only to watch it dry and look the same. Is there a product I can use to make my parts look decent again? Please let me know.

Any sort of bumper shine products will do. These are effectively a silicone based product which can be bought cheaply from your local store. WD40 has already been mentioned although I have read somewhere that this can make plastic brittle so not sure on the consequences. I don't bother whether mine is like new so long as its clean :cool2:

ill second that...

i always use armor all... works great... armor all also protects metals also... i used it on my drum hardware and cymbals also... i live at the beach so its all about protection... i do you use wd 40 also, but in a pinch.... wd40 also is not the best for long term use... it dissapates pretty quickly and also believe it or not has a slight abrasion quality to it... a good silicone based lube spray would work much better then the wd40... i have even used GLADE furniture polish. works great also. used it on my savage and t-maxx for years...

after i wash my buggy down, i liberally spray it down wit some armor all, let it sit for about 10 minutes, blow it lightly wit only 20-40lbs of pressure from the compressor (i know i know. everyone has a problem wit the compressors, but if you don't run it over 40 psi you are fine... ) then wipe it down wit a rag to spread out armor all and get the extra off... after i am done she looks like a shelf queen... i do this every other outing. so my build up of crap is not that bad... but works like a charm and the armor all protects more then you would think...

IMPORTANT... NEVER USE GLASS CLEANER LIKE WINDEX OR ANY OF ITS KIND TO CLEAN YOUR RIG... not so much a problem wit the body, but you do not want that on your electronics or wires... i don't know really why besides it breaks down the wire, or connections, or solder... but every elder man in my family is a mechanic and they all say the same thing. so i just follow that rule of thumb and never ever had a problem...

ive heard that boiled linseed oil seems to get car bumpers "back to black" but im not sure if it would work on rc plastics i don't see why it wouldent??
Toby:)
