I used to race a LST and When I built my shocks I would take nitro fuel line and cut it down to 1/4" sections. Then I would take one section and put it on the shock shaft down by the rod end, then the shock body, one more section of tubing then the piston and cap. This would limit the shock travel.
Longer length outside = less compresion travel - wont bottom out on chassis
Longer length inside = less extension travel - wont pull out rodends (hopefully)
You can adjust the length of tubing to suit your driving style.
So I was thinking that instead of using limiting straps that I would try this on my Baja. But is size going too be a factor? Plus finding silicon fuel tubing that is 1/4" ID may be tough. But what do you think? will post picks when I do this Mod.
