I was messing with it and accidentally unscrewed it all the way but now it WILL NOT SCREW BACK IN!! I've been messing with it for awhile now and nothing.
 
It should screw right back in, Try once without the spring just to see.

If it's not going it may have cross threaded...look with magnifier if you have one.
