My first time upgrading my engine. It's all apart pulled out the old crankshaft and awaiting the arrival of the ONB kit tomorrow. I feel giddy like a little girl at Christmas.

I'm going to run an xcan on it for now. I'm too cheap to get a pipe so I wan to see if I'm satisfied for now.

Emu, even with a XCan on it your gonna sporting a poop eating grin all day long. That ONB 30.5 is a beast of an engine. I suggest you temper your diff cup shafts before you run it. I guarantee you they'll snap at the pin holes if you didn't temper them like Moo does.

try to get a copper gasket for it glad I did. And if you are getting the race ported 30.5 when and if you do get the copper gasket it will need to be grinned to match the porting. The 30.5 is awesome power you will love it.

Yes, I'm upgrading the CY 23 that came with the thing. I ended up with a spare crank now; probably has 2 to 3 gallons through it. LOL, at the sacrilege; I may have to be a heretic for a little while; I got to figure out this new world of over-powered Rampages before I give it even more power.

I hear you on the cup tempering deal - I'll search those threads out and find out how to do it.

It's morning for me right now so my poop eating grin is just starting to develop. It's going to be hard concentrating at work today; I'll just fantasize while I'm in my meetings this morning.

gotcha on the break in period and using Dino to wear in the rings. Darn postal service took a whole day to get it from O'Neils to Long Beach! I'm not going to get it til Friday which means I can't run it until Saturday. Downside is that all the plebians come out with their electrics and nitro's on Saturday so I got to watch out for them when I run at the track.

hehe...tempting but the same guys show up at the track so I kinda have to live with them so to speak.

Still waiting at home for my stuff...c'mon federal workers of the USPS, don't let a fellow federal worker down...

THAT SUCKS waiting toy parts,i,am 52 and still like a dang kid.i think it keeps us yung.i have the 30.5 ported your going to love that mill.

Ah...the feds in the USPS pull through! I finished installing my engine after about an 1 1/2 of work. It fired up and idled nicely so I must have done it right. I got it running super rich and it still is obviously quicker than the 23cc I used to have.

ah you missed that. Apparently, I'm a heretic at this point since it was said that it's sacrilegious to not put a pipe on this fine engine. I'm using an x-can for now - maybe down the road I'll get a pipe.

Funny now that I have a faster engine the track I run at seems too small. The only place I go full throttle is on the straight-way and I get through there in about 1 1/2 seconds. Oh now I understand why the x-can is a sacrilege against the big displacement gods; it chokes my engine compared to the piped ones I saw at Milestone that have pipes on them. My wife needs another job so I can get a pipe guilt-free.
