im new looking for a good upgrade

i have a fg marder it has a pipe air filter and is stock other than that i want to make a good up grade but still want it reliable i was thinking strocker kit but was told it makes them less reliable any advice on my next move

I would buy a 27.2 kit and change it out with a stroker. That will give you some boost. Get the ported model. What type of motor do you have on it?
What pipe do you have? All pipes are different.

don't forget....more go = more stopping power so cables or hydro's for the front would be a good investment. Also suspension tweaks will make it quicker through the bends as will a front anti roll bar. I was told by the guys that race these things that the rear anti roll bar is a waste of time. It take away traction so you will be better off leaving this out especially going for a higher output engine.

I have a rear anti-roll bar, and like Drawfy says it takes traction away from the rear in corners so will make you slower on a track.

then again, it stops grip roll when going into corners too fast (i.e. being a bad driver like me), which has saved me a lot of repair time. Also helps with powerslides

I stuck the GPS on my stock Baja yesterday and clocked it at 64.4kmh (bang on 40mph) and it gets to this speed within half a football (socker) pitch. The tuned pipe is going on next week and i'll get more detailed acceleration data off it.

the stock sway bar is garbage u need the onroad sway bar and u will see a diffrence or u can keep the 1 u have now and go to a softer spring it will help u get some traction back .

the cheap buggy swaybars act like a spring instead of doing their job.

you need alloy engine mounts and maybe alloy gear carrier with

bro get rid of the stock fg pipe (good pipe its on my truck) but the jetpro pipe is way sick... louder then hell and its jus gotta breath better heard hasgas's new pipe seen it run definitly a pick up
