Inclined Shread Stacks - any experience??

I got one in my shopping cart at DDM right now. I have had one in and out of my cart for a year now. IT just keeps getting bumped out for something else. Was going to get it to make it easier with the 5b but since I got the Ramapage it has been in there to help with the throttle servo linkage and the 5b air filter. Thanks for the input iwik76 I am hoping to leave it in this time around.

I have one its great only problem I had was the black o-ring where the baja airfilter slips into the shreadstack got worn after 3 tanks causing a vibration noise I gotta keep a few spare gaskets.
 
is anyone still using the stock rampage assembly/filter? what is so wrong with it....better airflow with the bigger air filter and assembly??
 
I bought a phatdad shreadstack from DDM and a hpi filter for my MT when I get it cause I have read on here that the stock airfilter is crap, anyway the hpi filter would not fit the shreadstack the place where the o-ring is supposed to slip into it was too small luckily I have a buddy that has a machine shop and he lets me use his lathe and mill anytime I want, I chucked the shreadstack into his lathe and took off .050 problem solved the hpi filter fits like a glove now, I just need the truck and I will be all set COME ON FEBRUARY!!!!

i'm really surprised at that as my one from ddm went in like a glove.. the air filter clicked into place over the o-ring forming a nice tight seal and the filter sits well.. was there a dodgy batch of either stack or air filters with just out measurements?
 
I'm running the angled shreadstack and it's very nice and the HPI filter fits smoothly. Really good piece, and the HPI filter is much better than the garbage stock one.
 
I thought that to iwik76 but the stack and the filter parts all looked nice and round, they just would not go together even without the o-ring, so something wasnt measured right, but they fit together now. I'm happy :)
