so im looking to order the XB gas buggy. does the new version come with the tune pipe as in the pics from redcat racing, and is the front and rear shock towers metal or plastic?
 
Not sure about the tuned pipe. Both towers are aluminum. The front has a piece of plastic in addition sandwiched with the aluminum. Its only for looks or perhaps a skid plate for bad landings as its pretty rubbery. The towers do bend if abused but its not a common break point.

The newer version has 10mm axle stubs where the older had 6mm. If your buying new, youll end up with with the new version. Its been out for a number of years.
