Any ideas how to improve the steering on the FHMT? I even installed the 805BB servo and steering is no better than it was with the stock servo.

Justin

horrible turning radius.. tires barely move.. I tore everything apart and can't see where it would be binding.

When you tore it down did you check to see if the servo saver shaft was in one piece?

This type of design has a tendency of breaking right at the end due to thinning from the threads on the inside.

Are you sure that you are getting a full 6 volts to the servo?

Is your transmitter set to give you the whole amount of steering also; could be set to a lesser amount? I know my Futaba 3GR needs to be cranked up to 120% from the default 100% to maximise the steering on my MT.

Like ducky said on the transmitter near the throttle adjustment and stering trim are there is a dial turn it all the way to the rite and see if that works

yo do urself a favor take off the steering knuckles then try the servo may be buinding up also take the tires off make sure there isnt anything sticking it up

wow thats horrible! did you center the servo with the radio on or off. it definatly has to do with your radio settings. what kinda radio do you have? that thing should yank reall good both ways.. evenly

youll knway if its binding once you pull the servo horn. you should easly be able to turn the wheel to the end of the lock with out the servo hooked up.

That looks like something is binding to me??? Also lift it off the ground when you test to so you can see the actual throw you're getting.

I have a JR XS3 Pro... anyway.. I figured out the issue... the servo horn that came with the 805BB is thicker than the stock one. This was causing the screws to bind on the chassis.. I trimmed some plastic of the horn with the dremel and all is well. Thanks guys!
