So i got 2 805bb's for 30 shipped and went to install them to find out that the throttle servo mount wont line up. so my question is does someone sell a new mounting plate or do people just fab up there own??

I was so excited to go run again today just to find that the new receiver i got off ebay for the stock radio is junk. steering channel doesn't work go figure lol.

so mx-sport here i come.

The mount might need a little dremel work. I know on the Hitec 5745s, they arent rounded like the stock servo. Dremeling a bit on the servo mount where the arch is allows everything to line up. That might be your issue.

hrmmm, i don't see it working with the 805.

on my v3 chassis, there is 2 sets or forward mounting holes for the vertical servo mount.

the stock servo had the mount in the aft holes, with the 805 it lines up with the forward holes. I guess i'll just get some sheet stock from work and dremel something up

i use a sport on my ramp and love it i also just put the hitec 5755 on and it works great, turns the mt wheels sittin still.

Well i got bored so i fired up emachineshop and came up with a throttle servo mount that will bolt in if you are using the forward holes for the forward vertical servo mount.

using 6061 Au, it would come out to 24 bux a peice if I had 10 made, lol. guess i'll be getting some flat stock from sheet metal shop on base and make my own.

here is the cad of what i cam up with

boredom sucks

i run the same 805bb and i have made top plates for my dad, for my nephew and myself it's pretty simple, but rob uses a gbe baja plate but i have not looked at that yet.

Hahah don't I feel like an idiot, I was thinking the bottom holes through the chassis werent lining up. :D

Send me the cad file i'll make some up.
I'll have to get some cad software and redraw it. emachineshop uses there own format.

how much would it cost for you to make them

wow i have the same problem. i got my rampage MT on ebay and after 20 minutes my steering servos were done. my ebay seller sent me two hitect 805bb and i was sooo excited to get them but found out they don't fit:eek:

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ! im a noob and need some serious help with this....

hey thanks for the reply! but thats way too much work for me lol.. wondering if anyone knows about any parts that i can buy. i just wanna buy some parts that will make it fit. thanks !

helly604 where you from if it helps out i could make you one no charge, they are pretty simple, i already have a few plates cut just need to make the cutout for the servo it only takes a couple min. lol since i have made some for our trucks. just pm me if you would like one.

you could buy the aluminum futaba servo mount and use the forward mounting holes on the chassis if your going to use the hitec 805bb and the throttle plate holes line up with no modding. how i did it was mount the futaba mount to the chassis first, then mounted the hitec 805bb to the futaba mount, then mounted the throttle servo to the top servo plate, the mounted the servo and top plate to the futaba mounts

Hey All-

Just orderd the Futaba mount for my 805bb. Since I've been through 4 steering servos all 5745mg's I went for the gusto and got two bb's and I just ordered a new v3 chassis to (since my v1 was banged up pretty bad) upgrade to dual steering servos. So with 2 bb's - will the second one fit under the battery compartment?

Thanks,

No it will not fit on the radio box side you would have to modd somthing to fit it on that side.. The 5755 fits because its smaller

Ok, so can I do the bb on one side and the 5755 (since I have 1) on the other or is that crazy?

Thanks,

I moved my servo location my hobbico servo don't have the torque to turn my truck it's going bye bye going to the hitech 805bb

I just was working on mounting my 805 BB's today. I made some spacer plates that fit under the throttle plate and under the radio box. you may have to possibly drill two new holes for the radio box mounts in the front. It's not too difficult. the linkage is going to have to be adjusted though.

I'm going to see how one BB handles the MT tires for now, if it fails on me then'll go with a dual setup. Thanks for all of th replies!
