quick one guys, would you suggest threadlock on the bolts when installing the carrier/shoes etc or not bother? ..I think in past I never bothered on the shoes as they have a spring washer, but unsure about the carrier and the last time I tried to remove this bolt it rounded it was that tight (prob with locktite!?).

Also how tight should I do the carrier bolt?, the clutch shoe bolts I did very tight (I don't have torque wrench so telling me the torque is no use!) just wondering if it should be VERY tight or just tight! ;)

cheers!

just get yerself a torque wrench fella (y),
the one i have for rc stuff is a norbar 1 to 20Nm one, they're quite hard to find but are out there, the norbar ones are about £100,
there are cheaper ones around but you just have to search for em (y),

hi guys, cheers for info!

ok i went to my local halfords today & picked up a Torque Wrench that does between 2-26nm, ive used halfords tools over the years and to be fair, they are decent for the money! ..this torque wrench is bascially a cycle tool but will do the job! it also comes with torx & hex bits along with an extension bar, kit cost £40 which is decent price, i could have bought a cheap none branded one from amazon but not worth the risk as chances are the torque settings with those ones will prob be well off! anyway heres the one i bought :)
