Intake for zenoah

hi guys i just purchased a used dbxl with the zenoah g290rc ddm package. i want to remove the crappy intake this engine comes with and replace it but without having to cut into the body. i was looking at the ddm velocity stack with the tgn dt-1 low profile filter from tgn. would this combo fit without modding the body? any help would be great. since the info is kind of scattered and i don't really know what the stock engine vs new engine available space comparison is.

Don't think so. I one and it doesn't look like it will fit without being smooshed. I've been thinking of a MCD xs5 filter. They can be found at largescalerc.

Check oUT the turtle racing airbox. Should work on the dbxl also since the carbs are all pretty much the same.

It doesn't fit because the spark plug cover/roll cage thing has a bar that goes right through where that is supposed to go. Just take the spark plug cage off and it will fit fine.

O ok, I'll probly ditch that thing when I get a new chassis and motor.
