Well as some of you know I installed my top end pipe last fri and took it for its first run with the pipe on sat. Chose a massive grassy field to see how it handles with the pipe.

WOW, wheelie city, population ME! I love the sound when its on song top revs.

Fun ended after about twenty mins though. Going about 3/4 throttle then went full. the FG instantly went vertical, bounced off the roll cage around the air filter, went 6 ft in the air doing a front flip and landed on the RHF wheel and ripped the bolt out of the RHF wheel hub ( i think thats whats its called, got bearings in it and the shaft the wheels sits on, also steering rod mounts to it).

Got it fixed but only a bandaid job, need to repalced the hub sooner or later so im in the market for either a stock one or a pair of alloy ones.

Took it out yeasterday as well with my cousin who just bought the XRC, mine went perfect, didnt miss a beat even with the patched up hub. My cousin wasnt so lucky, hit a concrete curb full throttle dead on, I wont mention the list of parts he now needs LOL.

Sounds like you need a wheely bar.
Bugger about your cousins car, concrete tends to be quite firm though!
Still have to work out a bash weekend soon too.
Before or after chrissy,, your call.

Rossco

I need a wheelie bar bad LOL. Start looking for one after chrissy I think.

How about a bash weekend before and after chrissy?

I found a Industrial Estate on Stud Road just outside Dandenong thats awesome as long as you don't mind getting your ride dirty :)

The dirt is really fine and cakes everything bout some awesome mounds to climb and a very big area.

I feel your pain Rossco. Im going camping christmas day for 3 nights up near lakes entrance but got a week off when I get back. don't have much planned yet. Anytime during that week should be fine.

go for the alloy hubs, breaking things is an excuse to upgrade.

I have one plastic one here but got a call from the fella that bought my mt. he did much the same thing today

Go alloy hubs.....after ripping out a couple plastic hubs...there is really no repair for those..if ripped bad.....Been there ...I use alloy hubs Front & rear....besides I hate bearings mounted in plastic......Just my opinion..Slawhammer

yeah I would rather alloy, plus I reckon alloy on these things look awesome, don't think I can afford it this close to chrissy though unless I can track down a second hand pair.
