In the UK they seem to be around the £300 mark in decent condition and some with alloy too. You get FG's quality, simplicity of design for maintenance, readily available spares pretty much where ever you live, loads of hop-ups & after market parts and the ability to change it to a beetle, MB or MT for not much extra. Even for a top spec fully sorted marder the pricing is around the £500 mark.

The trend is definitely towards the baja style cars (HPI's KM's etc) at the moment and the FTX Punisher is hitting the big time with top places in the racing scene so the demand for marders is at a low it would seem. Beetles and MT's are still popular and hold their value better than their little brother so does this make the marder a bit of a used bargain?

What are your thoughts?

Mods - I posted this in the general section to get the opinions of those who wouldn't normally visit the marder section ;)

don't know as i am in teh us and haven't really been looking. the trend is for offroad though since teh release of the baja however i wouldnt mind getting ahold of an onroad car like a harm, or an fg (harm race truck would be cool :D )

that was the reason behind me making my marder theres tons and tons of parts out there all cheap as you say there a good cheap car and a ideal beginners car can be made very strong or run standard they are good sellers but not money makers unless your one of the many ebay breakers,,,the best way to get in to largescale on a budget
