Hi need some advice Ive seen a 28.5cc Oniells engine for sale i was just wondering is this make any good?? please can u let me know asap i will keep u informed cheers :phone::phone::phone:

the CY 28.5 (36mm bore, 28mm stroke ) is probably the best motor from CY.

OBros are builders and retailers.
is the motor stock or ported/modified?

new or used?
if used how old and what does it say for gas ran thru it?

but yes if everything is good on the motor, the CY GP290 (28.5cc) motors are pretty good. the only down side it these CYs still have the occasional plating issue on the cylinders, though it is far less an issue on them then on the other CYs.

I would not use a CY head unless I had to. They do make two bolt ZEN heads that will go on your CY case. The best bet is the 4 bolt Zen motor any size, in my opinion The CY is just a paper weight.

i have to disagree. i have a cy 28.5 race ported head kit and it is has a ton of torque and great top end. it was a 26 race ported zen motor till i put the new top end on it and it runs better and starts better. love my zen and cy motors. the 26 had more topend but can't touch the 28 when it comes to the bottom end.

Spot on Kreb.
My CY gp290 smokes my mates Zen g260 with the same pipe.

The zen 26 revs harder but I can afford to go up gear ratio or two !!!!
