Is this one ok?

Hi guys,


Need some opinions on a pipe. I've got a Redcat Rampage MT V3 and it's my first 5th scale. I really want to buy a pipe for it. I would like a jetpro but it's just more than I want to spend right now.


Is this one suitable and will it be ok with my truck body covering it up?

You will not be able to use an HPI air filter with that pipe, I don't think it fits the Ramp regardless...

Would I have to use the hpi air filter or could I just stick with the stock rampage one?

I never even ran my stock one...Most here will say that it's for on road use only...It doesn't offer much of a dirt barrier..

If you can get it to fit, I think you'd having issues with the body melting, unless you wrap it. Also, you'd probably be able to use the Baja air filter. I have a Dom for my 5T and it's basically the same design, and has plenty of clearance for the air filter.

Heavy chevy I have the team phatdad angled shreadstack (basically angles your air filter up and out of the way of the throttle and brake linkages) then for my air filter I use a stock hpi baja with a redneck 2-stage pre-filter and lastsly a outerwears pre-filter, I run in very dusty places.

if money is a problem i would run the rampage pipe untill you get the money for a good jetpro or cpi here a link of a fair pipe

What about an Xcan? I can get one real cheap. Maybe better than stock but not as good as a DDM or jetpro?

The xcan is about 5% better than the stock muffler not a very good pipe

From what I've heard and seen about the CPI pipe I would be pretty tempted to get that one.
