i have a genuine rear dom V2 and it doesn't have dominator anywhere on it like the first one i had so i don't think you can go by where dminator is on it or not.

well or the ddm pipes iv seen and owned has had the name dominator printed on the pipe like this http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.885035/n.1/it.A/id.5995/.f and the one that andy is refering to is a excact copy of the dom that also has the welded seem so you cant go by that !!!!

you actually can go by the welded seam bud, the welded seam on the genuine doms is thinner than on the clone pipes i have had a clone rear dom which i sold when i got my genuine rear dom and the seam on the clone was wider. my cuerrent rear dom which does not have the word dominator in it was a replacement from ddm when the spring hanger on my origianl rear dom V2 broke off. my original said dominator on it my replacement doesn't.

the easiest way to tell though is to look at it installed, i have yet to see a clone pipe that the stinger doesn't come extremely close to or even hit the rear wing on a 5b ;)

it don't matter to me bro thick or thin welds if you want a good performance pipe CHEAP well a copied dom v1 v2 you cant go wrong:cool:

im not arguing that man just pointing out there are ways to tell the diff if its a clone or not ;) as far as not going wrong though you are correct except unless you don't want to melt a rear wing or have to cut out a small section but compared to teh gains a small burn or cutout on your rear wing is water under the bridge ;)

my dom was so old it did'nt even have a stamp on it but mine was the real one! because
i bought it from MMR many years ago but when your trying to buy a second hand one
i find it hard to see if its real or not...

i have had both. the clone pipe was sold to me as a genuine rear dom but shortly after i picked up a rear dom V2 and noticed that the welds along teh pipe by the stinger were wider and the stinger itself hit the rear wing and even if the stinger didnt hit it came so close that when teh wing flexed during running it would contact teh pipe and melt teh wing.
