What a fuckin week!! Been using my motorhome as office / accomodation rather than staying in hotels and the feckin site Im on (Billing Aquadrome) decided to start flooding last Thursday so been in a right mess. On Monday we were given a 1hr warning to evacuate as the river Nene was threatening to break it banks and I had the motorhome and my car........which 1 do I save?? Well the motorhome had the 5th's in it so it was a no brainer!! .......and if I had saved the car and the motorhome had flooded out my balls would have been mincemeat courtesy of the wife!!

Had 3 days with no shower, no electric, no internet signal and no feckin car as the site was locked down under police guard :mad: I tired, smelly, and cranky as feck!!

The river never ended up bursting its banks so there was about 6inch of standing rain water that wouldnt drain away because the water table was so high so fortunately no damage to big car. Its just full of mud inside & out :mad: Was something else to interfere with my bash with Ren.........its like its not meant to happen :mad: Probably wont be able to get down next week either cos I will be sorting my wet awning out & trying to dry the kids gear out.
 
Glad it didn't get any lasting damage mate, don't think ren or wagon will be goin anywhere soon mate so you'll be able to get out soon :)

don't worry mate its all been going wrong here as well ive had a heron problem and the fiddlestickers emptyed my little girls pond of over 200 odd fish and left my koi pond near empty,,ive lost the price of a fg in fish i brought a decoy heron as there meant to scare herons off sweet i thought only to see the mug standing next to it im pissed

Sorry to hear bud. My mate has a useless decoy heron next to his and also has a net over it but the buggar paid him a visit a couple of weeks a go got under the net & had 20odd fish away.

Yeah true :D I should be able to get out for a bash up here in the next few weeks mate but will keep you informed.
 
its gutting mate its done several ponds around here,,what ive lost in koi and gold fish im over a grand down now and the main feature of the garden which has just started looking nice is now got 4-5 koi and a few odd gold fish im gutted 3 years work down the drain,,,,if i catch it its going in the oven mate sunday roast heron

Fortunately the missus is pretty good at sorting stuff & she had the foresight to put all the kids clothes in sealed tubs and cos we here for the year we bought them camp beds so they were off the floor rather than the usual airbeds.

Im just glad its not our permanent home like the majority on the site! Mind you they live in their caravans on site for 11mth of the yr for £1700 and no council tax, water rates, etc to pay then they disappear to Spain or somewhere for the 1 month the site closes - cheap living really!! Most are employed and working so no pikeys! They must be rolling in cash!

When we had the 2 weeks of sun in March it was like being on a permanent holiday esp on days 'working from home' so Im sure it will come good once it dries out again :cool2:
