just think though dwarfy once the waters gone it going to be perfect for your 4wd bug

It will be but I reckon I will get into bother with security cos there are loads of ducks & geese wandering the site with the young in tow. Will give is a go tho :D There are 3 guys with planes who go out on 1 of the fields pretty regular when its dry.

I will get down to you next week for a run out with it now Im back sorted on a dry pitch. Had to pay £500 extra for a hard standing static pitch but at least it will stay a bit drier if the heavens open again!

Not down this year, can't get the time off work Definatly going down next year as its one of the best LRo shows of the year.

LR's wud of been ideal with the slop we were dealing with! Only just managed to wheel spin my motorhome off the grass.......almost a tractor tow job!

Am surprised they didn't shut the whole site down and move all vans & mobile caravans to a different location. I hope it's not as bad now.

The Environment Agency shut the site down and everyone was evacuated due to the risk of the river bursting its banks. It was under police guard to make sure nobody entered and to sort out a few angry residents. People in approx 30 statics refused to leave site and had to be forcefully removed by the feds and they have now been permanently kicked off site even though they live here full time. They were potentially putting their own lives at risk and those who would have had to get them out if the river banks did go so it has been taken very seriously.

Apparently the banks burst in 1998 and the water level was mid way up the statics so it would have been about 6-8ft deep across the site. On that occasion people were rescued out of their vans by boat and jet ski!

Its dried out pretty well now so the waders can be put away!

Judging by the forecast for us for the next week it going to chuck it down every day! Oh joy!! Would to of loved to see people getting removed from their vans!

At least it's all drying out and the fun can begin with driving the RC's on site.
