I got an old car from e-bay and the adapter is stuck on the rim of the tyre. I am not able to get the tyre out

Any suggestions please

what adaptor is it? what car is it? are you talking about a square or hex that hold wheel in place?? or wheel extenders.
any pictures. its hard sometimes to help, as time comes you will learn the names of parts which will make it easier.

It is a 17mm adapter square that holds the tyre

think you mean the wheel squares just get a small flat head and poke though the other end should poke out not sure why the square is is stuck in the wheel as these a held on by grub screws
 
Sometimes people use threadlock on the grub screws, as the squares work loose.
As Chris says, CAREFULLY get a flat head screwdriver in and lever it out slightly, then carry on from there.
I say carefully, as you could damage the bearings.

IF YOU DO REMOVE THE WHEEL SQUARE ......
Take note that one side has an inner slightly raised part - this touches against the inner ring of the bearing and ensures you have correct operation - you'll see it anyway.
