jetpro exhaust

I recently purchased a 30.5cc prostock engine from OBR and a jetpro Gargantuan exhaust. When i tried to start the engine it wouldnt fire. So i checked for spark and fuel, Both were good. i changed carbs and still nothing. So i put the stock can exhaust back on and it fired. Anyone know why it wont start with jetpro exhaust

I ran it a few times with the can pipe and reinstalled the new exhaust and it started just fine. I cant explain that

most likely the new engine just needed proper priming,could be that you slightly flooded it the first time and with the time it took to switch out to the can it cleared up.
