So I tested the top speed a couple a months ago with the CY F270 and the Jetpro V3 (20/54 gearing) and only reached 76 km/h.

Yesterday I removed the silencer and I got a much more responsive engine and much more revs. The top speed increased to 83 km/h. I didn`t think the silencer was that restrictive :confused:

Anyway, here is the video from yesterday. Nothing to brag about when it comes to the topspeed but I think it is pretty ok for a own ported cylinder that only costed me 25 USD :)

That is pretty good considering what you are running. Many want to say a silencer does not make much difference but I always thought they did and you proved it.

I have a fear of running on a public road as I know of a guy one time running on a public road and a car swerved to miss his RC car and hit a pole. Guess who had to pay for the damage to the 1 to 1 car?
 
I replaced my stock muffler on my HPI with a ebay muffler. OH MY. What a difference. It woke it up all around.

I installed the hose on the muffler like the picture, it killed the power - worse then the stock muffler. It is much louder but it woke it up as if this is a 28cc and not a 26cc. LOL
