yay just got my first 1/5th scale buggy.

got a bargain on ebay here for a H.A.R.M bx2 buggy with hardly any use. (looks very clean and tidy) has some very nice servos, cable front brakes, hydro rear brakes and a few other goodies :)

paid £530 for it all in (which i consider good as it was a £1400 kit new) and the cheapest 1/5th i can get at my local model shop/track was £600 for some thing made out of 90% plastic

cant wait to get it, just need a transmitter and receiver in it (need a good 3/4 ch unit on 2.4 hz) anyone recommend one (not a wheel unit a twin stick)

wow i like the sound of that 4ch stick :)

will get one later on in the year me thinks.

hopeing the car turns up before crimbo but to to fussed if its late. got some budget w3 2.4hz unit off ebay, only a 2 channel unit but im hopeing with the hydro rear brakes on uprated servos it will do the job of stopping (has abs setting on the stick)

car comes with these servos in it:

MULTIPLEX RHINO DIGI 4 STEERING SERVO
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=ShowSpecification&ItemID=24422

ACE 1015 THROTTLE SERVO
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=ShowSpecification&ItemID=24658

HITEC 5945 ???

any ideas which would work best in which location? its currently set for the digi4 on the steering, 1015 throttle and the 5945 on the front brake (though will not be used until i can get a better radio setup)

will do :)

thanks for all the help guys. hopefully it will compete well with the hpi baja's and mcr and fg bajas at my local club (once i get some pratice in lol!)

please post when you get her up and running would love to see a photo or vid.

the futaba 4pk I believe is 4 channel, it aint cheap. the futaba 3pk is a 3 channel (i think) and from what I have heard and read is one of the best, super reliable and awesome range.

I run a spektrum DX3S, not sure how many channel, I only use 2 anyway. Not cheap but has a screen which tells you voltage of radio and recevier batteries and you can hook up RMP/Speed, Temp and lap times which I use to have set up for my nitro but don't bother with the gasser.
