just bought a xt and was wondering what the problem areas are on these before i find out the hard way lol.. is there anything i need to do to make it tough like my mt thank you all for any info
 
Welcome to the forum.First get a kill switch,killer bee is the best.Upgrade the steering servo.Make shure all the screws are tight. Enjoy your xt and have fun.
 
I just got mine a few days ago and was on the third tank of gas breaking in the motor and my diff mount broke. I would order one of these so you don't have to worry about it.

Also since I was down I figured I would check the tire foam, because everyone says it turns to dust in a few days, and mine was starting to. I went to wal-mart and in the fabric section they sell small sheets of foam. Two come in a pack and if you double them up they work perfect. Just get some spray glue and cut them into strips, it's not to bad. You can push on the sidewall of the tire and the glue will break away pretty easy. I had to use a screw driver a few times to pry it up a bit.
