Just heard from my large scale dealer that the new redcats XT and XBs are coming early next month. Already got my order for the XB electric buggy in. Can't wait to get it.
 
Just got word, they are shipping this week. Woohoo. Hopefully the rest of the snow will be gone by the time it gets here.
 
Just ordered two 5000mah 4C packs from hobby king. 2 packs with shipping for $86 shipped priority mail. I should have the packs before the buggy.

I also just picked up the new Hitec X4 charger so I can charge 4 packs at once. This should hold my idle time down.

I will eventually goto 6C but want to see how this thing holds up on the 4c packs.
 
hey can you let me know how the charger works for ya? i want to order one myself and so far i've only seen one guy with it and he says it works great. better to get as much feed back as i can on it before ordering right?
 
will do. I have my extra lipos coming today so I should be able to test it out tonight. I bought it for my other electrics but they are both in pieces right now.
 
I am ordering one too. hobby king has the quatro charger that looks good too. I'll be buying that with extra packs. I wonder what the included charger will be like. the one that came with the 8th scale only did one battery at a time and was very slow
 
i looked at the turnigy one too but i'm a member of the super saver club at tower so i get free shipping and discounts. i figured with the shipping it would be cheaper for me to go with the hytec, plus if something went wrong with the hytec it would be easier to deal with the warrenty through hytec then hobbyking. i've had a couple bad bl motors from them and trying to get warrenty wasn't worth the head ache.
 
I used to be a tower member but I get the same price on shipping with or without the membership. it says you get a discount but I still pay the flat $20 shipping fee now without the membership and they send me email deals with better discounts now that I haven't renewed. I even sent them an email to describe I have never saved anything on shipping as I am still ordering now and then and it's the same price. I lose the ability to check their specials section but truly I get better discounts now. I order all my paint from them cuz they have bulk discounts and I buy the 3 bottle packs of each color
 
maybe it's changed. i get free shipping and so much off depending on how much i spend. for example $249.99-299.99 i get $40 off $300 and over is $50 off. our local hs wanted $320 plus tax for the momba monster 2200kv system so i ordered it myself and got it for $270 with tax and our lovely government duty when it came across the border. thats a nice saving.
 
someone said they got 18 minutes on the batts that come with it. So moving up to 5000 mah should give you 1/2 hour. So four batts should be fine if you have a multi charger that can charge more than 1 battery at a time. I should get mine out tomorrow with the 5000 mah packs and hopefully some video.
