Great Vid Waqr.I love the way you have left the engine/original sound as well.Makes a change from it being dubbed over with some heavy metal music.

great stuff, i love all FG's especially my own :)

that mt looks like its working great. suspension looks like it doing the job, diff isnt single spinning much and the steering is getting some nice angles.

Thanks for the comments!

I`m very pleased with the way that the FG is handling at the moment. I will change the shock oil though to a much thinner one (HPI 10 WT) to see how this effects the dampening.

looks quite soft to me, what are you running ATM? I use the genuine FG stuff, im running 1,000wt for flat track work and switch to 2,000wt for bmx tracks with jumps etc.

Well I`m using some other brand silickon oil which is much thinner than the original FG one. I think that I could use even thinner to get even better dampening. To me it is still to bumpy (compared to my HPI Baja)

Don`t you think your shocks gets to stiff with the original oil?

No, not yet. I did however get some strange kind of binding in the shocks after I rebuilt them with new o-rings and the HPI 10WT oil. I don`t know wether it`s because the new orings needs to wear in a bit or if it is because I used fork oil instead of silicon oil. If I don`t use the shocks for a few hours they almost lock up completely and even if I manage to get them to "unlock" there is still some kind of binding when compressing them.

What do you think guys?

Sounds like a hydraulic lock type issue, Personally I never liked the HPI shock oil the silicone product is far better, I tested loads of oil grades, weights and centistokes before hitting upon one that I liked. I am now having the same thing with my MCD.

On filling the shocks did you fill right to the top of leave a small gap? Hopefully you left a small gap, if not this could be your issue.

Always leave a slight gap.
The other (obvious) thing is to 'wet' the O-rings (with the same shock oil you're going to be using) before re-inserting the shaft through them. Failure to do this latter process risks damaging the O-rings prematurely.

Thanks for the answers guys :)

I did lubricate the orings before I mounted them. Regarding the amount of oil I filled up to the threads and then I blead the shock just like Team Fast Eddy does in one of his videos for the HPI Baja. I do like this on my Baja shocks, shouldn`t the FG shocks be blead in the same way? Watch this video from 1,42 and forward to see what I mean.
