Well I was out playing with my MT today and the truck went out of range. Needless to say it went full throttle into a small creek. Not sure why or how it failed but I bought this system so this wouldnt happen to me again!

PROUD to own a Redcat!

I am saying this because I might hold the world record of the MT for height and more. It ran over 150 yards full throttle out of control into a 8 foot deep trench that is about 30 foot wide. It had running water that was only 2 foot wide. I am giving great detail because it was going to fast it didnt even hit the water. It simply jumped over the mini creek and went up the other side. I could hear it hit down into the trench and seen it come back up. When it came back up it was almost a perfect ramp and jumped well over 20 foot in the air.

When inspecting the truck the only thing that had busted was my custom made roll cage (didnt destroy it and easy fix) and my front body mount. I actually started it again right there on the spot and ran it to my vehicle haha.

What I found might be the problem. When I turn the controller off the throttle servo goes WOT (Wide open throttle). The servo is the Hitec 5645. I seen another post about this happening and not sure if anyone has a fix?

My guess is, you probably had to reverse the throttle channel when you installed the new servo. Since you reversed it, the failsafe is now reversed. So, reset the failsafe.

Also, did you bench test the kill switch before you ran it? And, did you turn the transmitter off when it ran away? If you had everything hooked up right, it would've killed the engine.

Yes I was the one that had this happen to also and Deluge helped me. using that servo like deluge said you have to reset the failsafe, Its been fine since, but on the other hand I did hit a tree today, not on purpose either HA this sport is getting expensive!

How do I reset the failsafe? Or fix my issue

Edit. Yes I did check the system and works when I turn off the receiver but when turning off the transmitter it goes wot

What channel do you have the kill switch installed on? It should be on a channel that doesn't have a failsafe set. It's commonly installed on the steering channel with a splitter cable.

Yea I did it the right way. Splitter on steering. I did a few hours of research before I bought the system. I will check this video out soon.

Wow that was to easy haha. I didn't know about that fail safe and how to even set it. Its set now. Thanks Del
