Not sure about these but the Killer Bee unit is what most go for and you have to make sure you get the right version that is compatible with your set.

Thanks dwarfy What a bout a cheap controller then ?

Has to be 2.4ghz and 3ch if you are upgrading your set. The Ansmann W3 is a decent wheel set for under £60. A few have them on here & give them a good rating. Jackobyte is a big fan, PM him & Im sure he will give you a full run down on performance.

I prefer the stick sets so went for the 3ch Core RC. It distributed by Schumacher & is solid, easy to use & feels good for the money. I paid £85 when they first came out in March & they flew off the shelves!

Im sure a few others will offer up alternatives.

I'm using Spekky DX3.0 Tx and Spekky receivers, with V2S Killer Bee remote kill switch.
The Spektrum Rx has a built-in fail safe, so you CANNOT connect to the throttle / brake, and that's it. Installation is relatively easy and 100%.
I set the brake on at least 50%, so you know loss of power / signal will kill the engine AND put the brakes on.
I could have gone for the V1S 3-channel and have a remote button kill, but I have the remote by simply switching off the Tx for a few seconds.

I think all 2.4 sets have a built in fail safe so you will have some protection as standard but obviously not full cover as with the kill switch. The Killer RC website has a list of sets that are compatible with each version of their kill switch and if your set is not on there just e-mail Kent for confirmation. You will have a response from them within 24hrs and MMR are a UK stockist.
