Huh?? Are you asking about the killer bee kill switch? or the failsafe? Please type like you're typing on a keyboard, not a t9 text. But if you are..yes the Killer Bee is a must for our 5th scale RCs

You only need the killer bee. It is a remote kill switch. It will shut down the engine by a radio glitch, loss of signal, turning off the radio, and by a 3rd channel.

Re: kill switch

no, the Redcat failsafe is pretty much useless. The killer bee kill switch is the best and a must!

OPTO Kill Switch?

Has anyone heard of the OPTO kill switch brand? Is it any good? It is a lot cheaper than super bee set up.

That would be a no.

This type of switch opens the circuit to break the connection to an electronic ignition. We have a magneto type. Our kills switch workes by closing a circuit, thus grounding out the coil to shut it down.

Hope this helps.

Re: kill switch

I wouldn't trust a cheaper kill switch....You get what you pay for and the killer bee will pay for itself the first time you need it.. ;)

Kill switch

So, is there another cheaper alternative than the super bee kill switch ($65.00) that just hooks up to to the receiver in the third channel slot? I see that the super bee come with the ignition coil replacement kill button.

Not that is a direct plug and play. The $65 is a on time investment. Very cheap insurance. Servos cost more. A run away can be catastrophic.

I have a Killerbee on my XSC and it works great but I have a Demension Engineering Pico on my KM T1000 and it works great so far. Only had to solder a extra wire to each of the coil wires and run them into the radio box to the switch. All depends on how much you want to spend....

Have have the bee on both my cars. It's a good insurance investment. I'd rather spend 65$ then 100+ on new parts and time. Plus the fact you can seriously hurt someone if it gets away.
