Ok I been reading about these and I know I need one, the quetion I cant seem to answer on my own is do you have to buy special radios for the kill switch like the killer bee? I know we need a 3rd channel, but either Im cornfused or not getting what radio system is needed. Or if it matters, just as long as its 3rd channel

This chart tells you which radio system works with what radio kit. i bought killer bee V2 didn't work with my stock rx/tx as hpi involved, bought Ansmann W3.1 worked a treat, i couldn't get on with wheel tx so have just bought etronix 2.4ghz stick and the killer bbe don't work with it. got to get a V1 switch for the Aux. so yeh they are a awesome bit of kit but they can be a little snooty as to which radio gear they'll work in..
