Hi guys, advice please. just fitted my killer bee. have not run engin yet. i am using a Flysky gtb3c. Just turned on to see what happens. First I get a flashing green, then after about 5 seconds get a solid red. Ins says "engin killed by Aux". Do I need to adjust anything on my radio? Help please.

Regards Al:confused:

Hi guys, so she runs sweet but am I right in thinking when I press the 3rd channel button this should cut the engin? It cuts when I turn off the trans ok. Using a flysky

gtb3c. regards al

It should do both. It will always cut power when you shut off the TX. That is so the engine is killed if you are out of range. When I ran my GT3B I used ch3 for the lights and shut her down by turrning of the TX.

Do I need to change setting on the 3rd channel for it to work? ie, trim, end stop?

I don't think so. Most radios ch3 needs to be set to 2 way switch. The FS does not have that option. I'm not sure about the GT3C, but if I remember correctly on my GT3B, I had to double click the 3rd channel button to operate the kill switch. Also I had the killer bee not the new super bee, but it should be the same.

It's worth giving it a try. I honestly don't remember the EPA on mine. I installed the light controller shortly after.

Next problem. As I drive or walk more than 10/15 feet away from the truck the bee cuts in and flashes "low power". I know the stock battery is pretty weak, has the bee got a problem with this? Battery is fully charged and not very old. Ideas please.

On another link it was the plug that was the problem. Would that be the same when the engin is not running? Mine cuts in and bleeps when its turned on but not running.

You can try adjusting the LVC.

(Taken from the KRC SuperBee manual)

When you turn on the radio receiver power, the LED on the Super Bee will flash amber a number of times, letting you know how

the low voltage mode is set. This feature allows you to protect your battery from over-discharge. You choose a voltage cutoff

point from 3 to 6 volts. The LED output will flash the LED lights (optional part), giving you a warning when the battery gets

within .2v of the cutoff point. Once the receiver battery voltage gets down to the set voltage the Super Bee will kill the engine.

To change the voltage cutoff point: During the first 5 seconds after turning on the radio receiver power you need to cycle the #1

dip switch up/down or down/up to move to the next set point. For example: If you are set at 4v cutoff and you wanted to move

up to 6v cutoff you would need to cycle the #1 switch back and forth two times. Four volt cutoff is the default setting.

The Super Bee remembers your settings.

3 Amber flashes = 3v cutoff

4 Amber flashes = 4v cutoff (default) (5 cell NiMh)

5 Amber flashes = 5v cutoff (2S LiFe)

6 Amber flashes = 6v cutoff (2S LiPo)

Also, how are your transmitter batteries? Fresh?

No. A bad plug only causes issues when the engine is running.

How are the batteries in the transmitter? You say I only happens when you walk away. You might have a week transmitter signal due to low power. Are you using the factory transmitter?

If you are referring to the spark plug, that only can cause interference while the engine is running.

Morning guys, Using a new Flysky gt3c, charged reciver battery over night. changed low voltage settings on bee, still same, flashing low volt when I walk away. was thinking of putting it back to stock and see what happens. Any other ideas?

Sorted.......Just taking the bee off to try it back to stock and the arial on the RX come of in my hand, looks like I damaged it pushing everything in the bat box. Had the one that came with the XT, matched it to my flysky and sweet as. Can this be repaired for a spare? Looks like we in for a drive this afternoon :D
