I broke the bottom screw head when screwing in my ignition. I got a screw extractor and it broke inside as well. I have no idea what to do now. I haven't even run this thing yet. I was putting in the killer rc before I did my first run. Is there any way to get this out? Should I just get a new heat sink? I would hate to take the motor apart... Is there any way to hold the ignition without this screw...I'm bummed out it....

Its the bottom left screw above the flywheel...you can still see the broken screw inside

If it was me I would take the motor apart and drill the screw out with a smaller drill and re tap the hole to clean the threads out...

I really can't understand why the KillerBee manual recommends removal of the engine and coil. I was able to install mine by removing only the fan cover. Reinstalling the back switch connector was a bit tricky, but took only a minute.

MAN thats gonna be a tough one if you think you can drill into the extractor get a left handed bit, cobalt would be the best, take a torch heat up around bolt and see if the left handed bit will take it out, if not the only way will be drill it bigger and retap it the problem is thats a 4mm bolt you will have to go up to 5mm then you will have to drill the hole out in the coil, trust me the easiest way is gonna be pull the motor and get it in a drill press

If you have access to a welder, weld a nut to the broken stub and turn it out. Or go to a welding shop, i only charge 10-20.00 for such things.

That sucks man. It's going to be tough.

You are going to have to try and drill it out. After you get it out you could JB weld a stud in the hole and use a nut to hold the coil. Then you would not have to mess with drilling the coil hole bigger.

Maybe go to a machine shop and let them do it.they would have all the stuff, it may run a couple bucks but they will tell ya how much before the job

alright im in a small town (temple, tx) Ill just try the local machine shop here. Im just going to take the whole car and hopefully they'll be able to do it. The JB weld sounds like a good idea too. I just wish I had all these tools. All I have is a drill. I'll let you guys know how it goes...

i stripped my frame for mod and had several screws that would have stripped the hex out.i used my heat gun to warm them up and they came right out. it looked like they had rust or brown locktite on the treads when i got them out? heat gun works great on them ! beware of plastic parts tho!

Ha yea temple is a small town... Not too bad though Austin is only an hour away...

So I ended up taking it to a machine shop and they said they'd do their best but they think they can fix it. Real nice guys hopefully it works out... Can't wait to get this thing running
