Will this bolt right up to my Rampage XT ??

Would this 29cc be a good replacement for my 26cc engine ???

Thanks,

Keith

Got the brand new 29cc engine for $155 to my door....

Cant beat it !!!

Beats the hell outta messing anymore with the 26cc engine, at least I can sell it and recoup some cash flow that I put into the new engine...

:)

Keith,I saw the 30cc on Nitrorcx.com for $115.00. Same engine on the Redcats.

Wish I had seen that before I ordered the 29cc for the rampage XT, Just ordered a 30cc for my MT, Cost $133.69 to my door. What a sweet deal!!! Cheaper then a frikin nitro engine....

Thanks again for that link!!!

A good CY (Chuang Yang I believe) engine is what you should be looking for. They come with four bolt heads which seal better over the long term, come with a better flywheel and magneto setup, and they are just built better over all. Unfortunately, you can probably expect to get about 2 gallons of use out of your $133. A quick trip to Schoharie County (Dogpile Racing) would get you a beautiful engine that will outperform the 29cc you just bought. I've mentioned them a few times already but after watching his attention to detail and the use of quality parts, I'm very satisfied with the engine I just got. They also port and polish for a bit more with huge results in power output. They race Bajas out back of their shop and those things are sickly fast.

believe it or not but my HY 30's are running better than my ESP 28.5 race ported with a stuffer crank. and all i did to the HY was put a .012 copper head gasket on it,lol.

Damn, should have tried the thinner gasket with my HY 30 before getting rid of it hehe. I am running a .012 gasket on my 26cc DS marine engine rebuild and it does indeed give it a bit more punch than before (0.020 gasket).

I am running a .012 gasket on a 26cc on my MT and I am giving the XBs with the 30cc a run for the money.

I wish I could use the .012 Hawley on my 28.5cc strikers motor but they told me it is set up for the .020 Hawley because of the 2mm stroked crank.

I had a king motor 29cc engine. I ran the snot out of it with zero problems. Im sure their not the quality of a cy or zen. Its comparing apple to oranges but if you want super cheap fun then I don't see anything wrong with them.

I don't know. I'm sure they run just fine with decent power. I'm more looking at longevity. You get what ya pay for. There certainly is a reason why they cost less. But then again, if mine was in good shape when I got it, I'd be running it 'til it dies before I would spend a dime on it, lol. One way or another, we're all getting some good fun out of 'em and that's the point.
