This is my first 5th scale & I will say, so far it's ok but compared to the 8th & 10th scale cars there slow to me.. I shoud of picked the 29cc buggy but by this being my first I went for the cheapest one. My question is: Im looking for more top-end and more all out power, can I get more out of this engine by any other type of setup like " 23cc kit" I heard there was a kit out there for the 23cc engines ? whats cheaper & better, upgrade on a new motor or upgrade on to the engine that i already have.

there's loads that can be done, though i won't beat about the bush - get a bigger engine when you're ready! but beforehand you can change the exhaust from a stock boxey looking thing to a tuned pipe (that's a huge difference). below is a short list of what i did to my engine:

tuned pipe
zenoah 29cc big bore kit (4-bolt head, which needs a 4-bolt crankcase to mate to)
denso iridium spark plug
walbro 813 carb
changed the gearing to give it longer legs too :)
high rpm release clutch spring

just by doing the above has improved its performance no end in comparison to before.

yes, someone told me if I just change the pipe that i would see a big change in the engine/power

you can get ya a big bore kit, they have themto make a 23cc up to a 29cc. and fairly cheaply too, i seen quite a few on ebay, maybe try Tulares ebay store he might have some kits.
 
Keep in mind, if you want an easy kit, don't get a stroker setup, just a big bore kit. Otherwise you'll be taking the whole engine out and apart to swap out the crank. Keep it simple, go with a big bore kit, which will usually get you to 28.5cc, and is what I'm currently waiting to run.
