I had a guy contact me for a trade for my motorcycle I have for sale.
I have NO idea what these cars go for and I've heard a wide range of prices
from 200.00 to about 1200.00
He's offering up for trade a King motor baja HPI REPLICA. Replica has me a little sketchy.....
23cc
Upgrades- Carbon fiber front & rear subframes.
Billet Aluminum tunnel and A-arms, Stronger SS trans, and a new clutch.
Plus he has all the stock parts for it.
This is all the information he's given me.
I guess I'm just looking for a more real price range.
I have my bike valued around $500. So as long as I can turn a profit.
Any infor would be greatly apreciated!

Best way to get a good valuation is to ask for some photos and post up, that way we can see whats fitted to it...these cars go through a lot of hop upping so the more it has the more its worth..

To start you off the 23cc is the starter motor size, they go up in cc from there...

I called a guy earlier and he said that these are extremley hard to get parts for. Do the stock parts fit on the baja replicas???
This is the only picture I have So far. I don't know what you could gather from this.
Thanks.

by looking at that km baja, it looks pretty much stock,
just to give you a idea the new km ksrc-001 baja runs around $450-$500 NEW,
yes the hpi parts will fit along with the long line of after market parts,
my opinion its not worth a straight up trade, the baja being a stock 23cc used condition worth about $300-$350, thats what i value that at, if this was a true hpi be a different ball game.
confirming any hop ups like the "ss trans" is something that would require tear down of the unit.
also just because its upgraded and what not does not increase the value, think of it like the dealer would for a real car you can bling it out, but they don't pay you extra for that, still a used km baja

Alright. I have more pictures coming either tonight or tomorrow. I'll post them as well, they will be up close shots and whatever too see what kind of parts are really in it.

Here they are, had the guy send more pics to get a better look.

I would say the value is $250-$300. If it was on eBay that would be a bid I would throw down if I was in the market for one. If it runs strong then $300 for it but if not $200. Get a pic of the bottom of the frame. If its scratched and gauged then it's been beat on pretty hard and I would say pass since they are so cheap new. IMHO once a rc has ran they lose 1/2 there original price. Also the same with the included hop ups.

Looks like to me there is top end engine problems there is too much gas and oil around the spark plug that should not be there I would have to see the buggy run first but I would not offer more then $200.00 for it just from the pics.

I'd have to agree with the others, stay clear of this one, V1 KM, looks like its even running with crystal radio gear, would need a lot spending on to get it ...as to finding it hard to get parts then thats a load of tosh, this are one of the most common rc cars out there, parts and upgrades galore..

over here in the UK it would prob go for around £250 (approx $370)
