Hey,

I have been looking to get into large scale for quite a while now, something really appeals to me and I feel now is the time to dive in at the deep end :helpsmilie:

I'm wondering if any of you have any experience with building RC kits if so which ones. I've been looking for a fair time with very little luck at finding such a thing. I have a budget of around £600-£800 possibly more depending on what there is around, ideally a petrol car.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You have a good choice at that price range. The main ones I suppose are HPI, FG & MCD but you could go for the all alloy King Motor baja for £500. These are RTR but you are always better off stripping down & rebuilding to make sure everything is as it should be and screws locktite'd etc. Its all down to personal preference. Have a look through the pics on here & see what takes your fancy. There is a nice FG baja for sale within your budget in the sales section :cool2:

i only realy know of one large scale that comes in kit form and thats the hpi baja ss i think every other is artr or rtr which is a shame as i used to love building the old tamiyas when i was younger now ive got a fg marder bug which i built from scratch mainly ebay bits mostly new stuff aswell it took me over a year and over 2500 to get it how it now but its all alloy plus it helped spread the cost little bit here and there

The thing with largescae is that everything is acessable, and big enough to make your own parts for. so kit r not, you'll soon have it in pieces and be upgrading it
